The curriculum that I used during my teaching demonstration was their  present curriculum which is KD Paud Kurikulum 2013.  Their curriculum focuses on developing the children's holistic development especially the physical and the social emotional development. Their goal is to build each child into competitive and trained young Indonesians who will lead the nation someday. The kurikulum also includes lessons that emphasizes values that will mold them into respectable and good people. Moreover, I have observed that in Indonesia, even if the schools have one curriculum, their teaching system and teaching method still vary.

Basic Competencies in the Curriculum 2013 Early Childhood Education

Basic competence is developed by taking into account the characteristics, early abilities of children as well

1. Basic Competence of Spiritual Attitudes (KD-1) in order to describe KI-1

2. Basic Competence of social attitude (KD-2) in order to describe KI-2

3. Basic Competence of knowledge (KD-3) in order to describe KI-3

4. Basic Competence of KD-4 skills) in order to describe KI-4.
